Despite Boimler's annoyance, Levy was able to charm the Vendorians out of attacking them by recounting more of his myriad conspiracies, one of which ended up being a throwback to a controversial TNG episode.ĭuring the encounter with the Vendorians, Levy posed the idea that they had planted false information about Star Trek's warp speed damaging subspace, an idea that was introduced in TNG season 7, episode 9, "Force of Nature" and has been controversial ever since. However, one of his theories proved to be correct when he and Boimler were ambushed by the Vendorians, a shapeshifting alien race first introduced in Star Trek: The Animated Series. ![]() Levy, a known conspiracy theorist, annoyed Boimler with his sharing of several wild Star Trek conspiracy theories while the searched for a way to escape. While on a mission to Kyron 4, Levy and Boimler were stranded in a cave during an ion storm. Bradward Boimler (Jack Quaid) kicked off the story sharing with his retelling of an encounter with an obscure Star Trek species alongside Lieutenant Steve Levy (Fred Tasticore). To pass the time while they searched for a way to escape, each main character recounted a story from another cave-related misadventure they had been involved in recently. Lower Decks season 4, episode 8, "Caves" saw the newly-appointment Lieutenants Junior Grade trapped in a cave on an away mission gone wrong. Star Trek: Lower Decks finally fixed a controversial storyline from Star Trek: The Next Generation. ![]()
